Ted Baker assumed duties as Club President today and moderated a Club Assembly.  Ted announced the board decision to host an exchange student next year and reminded members to nominate juniors for Camp RYLA June 5-9.  Anyone interested in being a host family for 2017-18 may contact Coralyn Dillard and nominations for Camp RYLA should be sent to Jay Givens.  Jay introduced the March Student of the Month, Layne Mustian, to the club and Coralyn introduced Rotary Youth Exchange student, Fer Dilli Nano, and gave an update on her activities.

Ted also shared his vision for some upcoming changes to board structure, adding Youth Committee and RWD Committee and possibly moving chair responsibilities away from board members in order to establish stronger consistency of the committees.  Kim Street shared reflections on PETS and emphasized the strength of our club as so many of our members were leaders for this event at the district level.

Charles Starnes gave a short statement about the importance of the Rotary Foundations and V.O. Ortega drew names for "early bird prizes" for those who had donated to the foundation raffle.  V.O. also honored Ted Baker for achieving another level of giving to the foundation with a Paul Harris Fellow +4.  Janice Payne recognized member anniversaries: Kenneth Hooper, Coralyn Dillard, and Karen Earhart and inducted a new member, Dave Sandahl, to the club.

Membership chair Janice Payne presented membership anniversary pins to Kenneth Hooper (20 years), Coralyn Dillard (13 years), and Karen Earhart (4 years).
