Today's speaker was Dr. Bobby Hall, President of Wayland Baptist University as of July 1, 2016. Dr. Hall is a native of Plainview, an alum of Plainview High School and the first Wayland alum to serve in the office of president. Dr. Hall spoke on the need for Wayland and the Plainview community to develop deeper and closer ties so that both can move forward successfully into the future. During his presentation, he named a number of ways the university is already involved in the Plainview community, including children's music programs, student mentoring programs, and a new business internship program. |
